It almost seems anti-climactic to write a discription for 1000 cranes...
This is actually my second attempt at making 1000 cranes (the other one is on hold at 600) but I mangaged to finish this bunch because I made them as a wedding gift.
This is made from 1000 different sheets of paper, 20 different colors, each sheet 4" square. There 25 strings in this bundle, each string has 40 cranes.
I also used two split rings and leather string to hang these so that there would be enough support to keep them from falling down. The first split ring has a fairy pendant (although it is hard to see), the second split ring is used for hanging the actual piece.

I believe I bought this same set of paper to make my first senbazuru. It's really something isn't it, when you see it all hung up together for the first time? Keep folding!
